On December 23rd we completed our run of Christmas parties, which started with 230 guests at Painshill Park on November 24th. We fed over 6500 guests at 41 parties in 3 venues with food ranging from traditional Christmas fare of Turkey, with all the trimmings, to exotic Moroccan tagines.

Dietary needs proved more challenging and varied than ever, but all requirements were met with either variations of the menu dishes or by creating special dishes.

We have received feedback from clients with lots of compliments about the food, but equally importantly praise for the service provided by the 900 or so staff who looked after the guests, from taking their coat to pouring the last drink.

The Nash Conservatory at Kew proved again to be a very successful venue. Set in the beautiful gardens, enhanced by the clever use of lighting, it looked stunning.

'On the Waterfront' was the theme for The Boathouse at Dorney Lake (nr Windsor) our new venue for this year. It was fantastic for guests to be able to look out over the straight mile of water that will be the 2012 Olympic Rowing Course.

The Conservatory at Painshill Park whisked guests to an exotic location, letting them forget the cold and wet of December in England as they entered the reception, which had been transformed into a Moroccan Souk. Belly dancers, entertainers, rich fabrics, barrels of spices, carpets, hooka pipes and a welcoming glass of bubbly greeted guests as they arrived.
