Touch of Taste at Garsington Opera
Made famous in the Bloomsbury era, Garsington Manor plays host to the well renowned Garsington opera, for one month every summer. The combination of music, gardens and the unusual repertoire has established it as a much loved event in the English music calendar. Following the recent merger of Touch of Taste and Maby's Catering, the combination of these two teams have great pleasure in announcing that they will be catering for this prestigious event in 2008. Maby's have catered at Garsington for the last 17 years. Initially this was a small, almost exclusively local, event. However in June and early July 2006 over 5,500 guests were catered for at 21 exclusive concerts. 3,000 bottles of wine and champagne were drunk and 1,100 opera lovers were served afternoon tea. For this year there are a number of new developments planned for the catering at Garsington Opera. NEW BUFFET RESTAURANTFor the first time this season Garsington patrons can enjoy a delicious 2 course cold buffet during the opera interval. Taking away the hassle of bringing a picnic, the new buffet restaurant will be an informal, yet high quality, dining experience that can be enjoyed in the beautiful Garsington grounds. ONLINE BOOKINGOnline booking will be available for the first time in 2008, please see the menu for more details or visit www.garsingtonopera.org IMPROVED FINE DINING RESTAURANTWith Maby's becoming part of Touch of Taste this year the combined company will be investing in the restaurant in terms of service, crockery, glassware and food quality, to ensure a truly fine dining experience for all Garsington visitors. We look forward to welcoming you to dine with us, in either restaurant, this season and sincerely hope that you are impressed with the improvements. If you have any comments please do not hesitate to call Tom Maby on 0800 288 9823. | News archive
